The curve allows for a soft and broad resting surface on the tongue. The shanks are fixed onto the mouthpiece and run straight down. The bit has a short purchase, low impact leverage and a quick reaction on rein pressure. The bit works through the poll, bar, tongue and roof of the mouth. It is a soft to medium functional bit.
